- Notre Dame Urban Education Center exists to provide transformative educational experiences that impact individual wellbeing.
- NDUEC is unique in that it is the only know program in the area to provide consistent one-on-one tutoring, homework assistance, skill building, and enrichment activities to elementary and middle -school aged children in Northern Kentucky.
- NDUEC has four transformative educational programs: Early Learning; Homework PLUS; Summer Academics; Family Support.
- NDUEC is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Notre Dame of the USA.
- 90% of NDUEC’s staff has Masters Degrees.
- NDUEC has an Automated External Defibrillator placed on the first floor and a Life Vac on the second floor.
- NDUEC has 13 inside and outside security cameras for the safety of all.
- NDUEC has a 12 passenger van to transport students from school to the Center.

- NDUEC has a plethora of educational games that make learning FUN!

- NDUEC’s tutors and staff are all Virtus Compliant as part of the Safe Environment Program for the Diocese of Covington.

Since launching the Early Learning Program in 2019, NDUEC has prepared 41 students for Kindergarten.
- Students averaged an 11-point increase in pre-school progress screening scores.
- 100% of students tested average or above-average as shown by their Scholastic Kindergarten Readiness Assessment results.
- 100% of students were prepared for a successful transition into kindergarten

- In the years following the pandemic, our Homework Plus program has provided individualized tutoring to more than 200 students
- Students demonstrated an average improvement rate of 85% in the core curriculum areas of math, reading, and English.
- 95% of students said they are in a safe and loving environment when at the center
- 96% of students said they would recommend the program to a friend
- 80% of students said their confidence has improved because of their participation in the program.
- We have expanded enrichment opportunities, including the addition of a Sewing Corner, an updated and diversified student library, and the launch of a STEM Garden, a vibrant, hands-on learning space.
An additional 141 students have participated in our Summer Academics program to prevent learning loss and strengthen readiness for the coming school year.
- 86% of students showed improvement in math and English
- 100% of students enjoyed STEM Garden activities
More than 475 individuals have engaged in our Family Support initiatives, strengthening family stability and reinforcing student success.
- We have seen a 109% increase in participation in this program over the past year and attribute the success to our focus on parent/guardian commitment to education.

One of our greatest strengths is our dedicated network of volunteers
From mentoring students to organizing enrichment activities and handling administrative tasks, volunteers are crucial to the success of each program. This focused, consistent individual tutoring fosters a strong bond between children and adult role models, often leading to mutually beneficial mentoring relationships.
