Summer Academics extends NDUEC’s commitment to student success beyond the school year by providing focused academic support during the summer months.

Designed to prevent learning loss and promote continued growth, the program helps students strengthen their skills in reading, language arts, and mathematics while building confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

Through individualized instruction and small-group learning opportunities, students receive the support they need to maintain academic progress and prepare for the upcoming school year. The program also incorporates hands-on STEM and gardening activities that encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and real-world learning experiences. In partnership with the local public library, students have access to additional books that foster a love of reading throughout the summer.

Summer Academics operates Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. during the four weeks of June. Students are provided breakfast and lunch each day through our partnership with the United Methodist Church, helping ensure access to nutritious meals during the summer months.

At its core, Summer Academics is designed to give every child the opportunity to experience academic success, strengthen self-esteem, and return to school confident, prepared, and ready to learn.

Cost/Student

• $50 for 1 child
• $80 for 2 children
• $120 for 3+ children

Daily Schedule

• 9:00 a.m. – Breakfast
• 9:30 a.m. – Session I curriculum
• 10:30 a.m – Session II curriculum
• 11:30 a.m. – Lunch
• 12:00 p.m. – Dismissal

• Week 1: June 7th – 10th
• Week 2: June 14th – 17th
• Week 3: June 21st – 25th
• Week 4: June 28th – July 1st

Registration Fee

You will receive an email confirming that your registration has been submitted. An NDUEC staff member will contact you to inform you that your child(ren) has been guaranteed a spot in the program.

A one-time, nonrefundable $100 registration fee is required for each child upon enrollment. Payment may be made by check or by clicking here to pay via PayPal, credit card, or Venmo (@UrbanEddie). When submitting payment through Venmo, please include your child’s name in the memo line.
